Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions
What is Utiq Pulse?
Utiq Pulse is a Brand Lift Study Platform that measures the impact of digital advertising on brand metrics like awareness, consideration, and purchase intent through deterministic surveys.
What is a Brand Lift Study?
A brand lift study measures the incremental impact of advertising by comparing brand metrics between users who saw your ad (exposed group) and those who didn't (control group). The 'lift' represents how much your advertising improved key metrics.
Which languages are supported?
Utiq Pulse is available in English, German (Deutsch), French (Français), and Spanish (Español). You can switch languages anytime using the dropdown in the header.
Studies
How many questions can I ask per study?
Each study has one primary question. This focused approach ensures higher response rates and cleaner data. For comprehensive brand tracking, create multiple studies with different question types.
How long should a study run?
Run until you have statistically significant results. Aim for minimum 300 responses per group, with 500+ recommended for reliable results and 1000+ for high confidence.
Can I edit a study after activation?
You can pause and resume the study, edit creative designs, and view/export data. To change the core question or structure, set the study back to Draft status first.
How many test groups can I create?
Up to 5 test groups plus 1 control group, for a maximum of 6 groups total in multi-group testing.
Creatives
What banner sizes are supported?
Utiq Pulse supports 300x250 (Medium Rectangle) and 300x600 (Half Page) banner sizes.
Why do I need both Exposed and Control creatives?
Each group needs its own creative so responses can be attributed correctly. Exposed creatives are shown to users who saw your ad, while Control creatives go to users who didn't. The survey content is identical; only the tracking differs.
Why is my DSP rejecting the creative?
Common reasons include: file size >200KB, missing ad.size meta tag, external resource requests, or missing clickTag. Use the DSP Export feature which handles these requirements automatically.
Reports
What does 'statistically significant' mean?
Statistical significance indicates confidence that your results aren't due to random chance. 95% confidence (p<0.05) is the standard threshold, while 99% (p<0.01) indicates high confidence.
My results aren't significant. What should I do?
Continue collecting responses (more data improves significance), ensure even distribution between groups, and aim for 500+ responses per group minimum.
What is Absolute vs. Relative Lift?
Absolute Lift is the percentage point difference (e.g., +15pp means control was 30%, exposed is 45%). Relative Lift is the percentage increase over control (e.g., +50% means exposed is 50% higher than control).
Troubleshooting
I can't log in
Verify your email is confirmed (check spam folder), try password reset via 'Forgot Password', clear browser cache and cookies, or try a different browser.
My creatives aren't showing
Verify the study is Active, check that creatives are generated, confirm Deal IDs are configured correctly in your DSP, and verify the DSP campaign is live.
Reports show no data
Confirm study status is Active, verify banners are being served (check DSP reporting), allow time for data collection (responses may take hours to appear), and check if filtering is hiding responses.
Response numbers seem low
Verify DSP impressions are being delivered, check banner visibility (viewability metrics), review creative design for clarity, and consider extending study duration.
